Ahoy again! At last, it’s summertime in our 125th year !
It is now high season at our Club. The warmer water is quickly reclaiming our harbor as the air temperature heats up. Our Stewards, Davey and Rene, have the facilities in tip-top shape. The Clubhouse is bustling as the junior sailing program is in full gear, with our exuberant and very experienced sailing instructors teaching the next generation the joy of harnessing the wind to move forward.
Adult sailing fun-racing is now happening every Wednesday evening for the next generations to experience the same sailing joy as the juniors. Come on down at 5:30 to join in and partake in the sailing and lively banter, and continue at the Clubhouse on the decks after. Casual sailing also happens on Friday at the same time.
For those who love to fish our waters, the season is producing vast numbers of large fish, preparing us for the annual morning fishing tournament on July 13th.
And the new BYO Cocktails on the Porch just started Friday, June 28th. From every account, it was rousingly enjoyed by all in attendance. The club grill is available for those in need to grill outside at the Club. All begins around 6:30 every Friday until Labor Day weekend. Join in the fun.
Please check out the events calendar for all happenings.
Until we talk again, bring on the warm breezes and the calm seas.
