Greetings this Winter Season
It’s a good time to reflect upon the mission of our Club: “To encourage yachting through the promotion of good fellowship among those interested in sailing, seamanship, and enjoyment of the ocean and its environment”. By all accounts, the 2019 season provided all of these criteria and was a wonderful time for the young kids and us older kids alike. Let’s start dreaming about this upcoming summer.
Throughout the Club’s 125 years our members have been the driving force of the activities created and provided for our enjoyment. This past year was no exception. With the strong leadership of our committee leaders and volunteers, I feel that we excelled beyond what our early season hopes were. I thank you all for your dedication, time, ideas, and tireless work. And fellow members, when you see each other around town or the clubhouse, please thank each other for what volunteering we all do, big and small, to make our Club what it is today.
Until next time, may the ocean be calm and the nor’easters remain outside our bay.
