Adult Sailing
Shoving-Off in 2010
Ahoy! The sailing
season is now upon us and the excitement is in the air... hopefully around 10
knots and out of South. Ha! Ha! Seriously, our Adult Sailing program is ready
to go and we hope you’ll join us.
Certified Sailors: Signing Boat Waivers: Before any member
may take a club vessel they must be certified and sign a Boat Waiver. Once we
have the form on file you are free to reserve any one of our three boats. The
fee for season privileges is $50 and will be billed to your account. Again,
please remember for your safety, no club sailboat may be used for personal
enjoyment until you are certified and your waiver has been signed.
Tuesday Night Sunset Sailing: These are lazy
evening sails designed expressly for pleasure. Enjoy the company of other
sailors while cruising the harbor and afterwards, relax and enjoy casual
self-provided drinks or dinner and drinks. This invitation is extended to all,
beginners, intermediates and certified members of our sailing fleet. We leave the dock
at 6pm, sail until sunset and socialize into the evening: June 8 – Aug 31
Adult Sailing Lessons: We are pleased to
announce that lessons for this season will again be free! There are no fees
associated with any of our adult sailing classes. Remember our lessons are
taught by fellow members who volunteer their time. We are deeply thankful, for
without them our program would be impossible!
Signing up for
lessons has never been easier. You can visit the CYC web site. We’ve uploaded
everything necessary for you to self-enroll online.
Thursday Night Adult Sailing Lessons: We leave the dock
at 6pm and return at 8pm July 1 - Aug 12
Sunday Morning Adult Sailing Lessons: We leave the dock
at 9am and return at 11am June 27 - Aug15 (July 4 no class)
Hopefully we’ve
sparked your interest in making the summer of 2010 a sailing season to remember
by joining us. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel
free to call Selene Carlo-Eymer or Arthur Young or stop any member of the
committee, we’re always happy to help.
